Meet the Artist

My name is Francesca Gehrig, and my journey as an artist and reluctant adult (aren't we all!) has been filled with twists, turns, and hard learned lessons. A plethora of odd jobs have taught me so much and kept me grounded.

 

My family and I are originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado. My husband, Jordan, and I lived there for 30 years before we made the incredibly difficult decision to move to Georgia to pursue our dreams. We have been together for 13 years and share our one-and-done son, Cade. Jordan and Cade can be absolute chaos, but they are everything to me! The maelstrom that is our life is fed by our throng of animals. I am the un(fortunate) victim of the "Cat Distribution System," and being blessed with two feral cats, Unagi and Spicy Tuna. They join our 6 dogs (Odell, Orabelle, Morgan, Hoss, Roadie and Tinker), whose allergies, eccentricities, and dietary needs make them the prima donnas of the household. My life is very busy, and I am responsible for a lot of things. I diligently juggle my family's schedule, freelancing, clients, home life, and so much more! Aside from that, I dream of traveling, indulging myself on decadent desserts, and garnering new experiences that the world has to offer... One day.

 

My life experiences, family (human and furbaby), and aspirations all inform my art. This curated collection of pieces showcases what I aim to accomplish as an artist: work that is vivid, imaginative, and engaging. As a professionally trained Illustrator, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design, I am constantly learning and growing as an artist.
